Brew Review-Brouwerij Van Steenberge N.V.’s Bruegel Amber Ale
This amber ale pours a true amber with a glint of red. The nose has honey, apples, molasses and vinegar notes. Medium carbonation with a head that settled quickly and left decent lacing. Taste has sweet caramel malts, biscuit malt, touch of hops, apples, and citrus fruits. It has a crisp and dry mouthfeel. The finish is a little sour and hoppy. 5.2% alcohol by volume so it’s one of the lighter amber ales, at least in my book. A good choice if you have just downed a strong craft beer or just want to take a little edge off your day.
