Brew Review-Victory Storm King
The Victory Storm King will undoubtedly smash your taste buds and give your liver something to think about.
This imperial stout is big and boozy. But, like Casper the friendly ghost, it’s only scary at first.
The Storm King pours pitch black and looks like motor oil. It has a very thin creamy head. Its aroma is slightly sweet with a lot of coffee. The flavor is immense. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. You’ll get a mixture of coffee and chocolate, some strong maltiness and molasses. There’s a even a bit of smokiness that makes this beer surprisingly complex. A slightly bitter finish rounds out a very elaborate tasting experience.
I believe Pizzeria Paradiso in Dupont still has this beer on tap, and I do recommend giving it a shot.
